Description

The catalog contains similar mugs made at 1 KDO and Vosstanie factories before the war, in 1940. Similar to #599 and #600 in a slightly different shape but also made using hot-press technology. In general, the appearance of these mugs became possible in the 40s, during the transition from OST to GOST. 1940 - 1941 OSTs (all-Union standards) are canceled, we are switching to GOSTs (state standards). This is how it touched beer mugs - the transition from the rigid geometric dimensions given by the OST to the reference standard. When using the new "Instructions for Verification ...", they already allow the use of hot-rolled mugs. This was later sorted out, departmental instructions came out, requirements for dishes used in public places came out.
In the late 40s, everything will be in order, and in the future this "disgrace" is no longer encountered. Well, right. All these mugs have a common disease - scaly chips along the upper edge. And that was not safe. But the decision to produce such mugs is not an emergency decision related to the war, it is a period of transition from one normative document to another, the period of the formation of Soviet metrology. The period of its integration, sometimes not without rough edges, with production and trade. And before and after this period, beer mugs and kvass mugs were and will then be placed in a separate group. Glass factories "1 KDO", "Vosstanie" and "Druzhnaya Gorka" were located next to each other, entered the same glassworks, verified in one place. Accordingly, the administrative decisions were similar.
